Introducing the WaTech® Center – Mekorot

The WaTech® – Water Technologies Entrepreneurship Center – was established by Mekorot, Israel’s national water company, in order to provide a response to the world’s water supply challenges. WaTech® offers a unique and comprehensive platform in the following fields: Water quality, desalination, wastewater treatment and effluent reuse, water safety, engineering services, models for optimized water system operation and management, digital and cyber security.

These advantages provide a broad platform for the activities of WaTech® in four major areas: Business Ventures and Collaborations; Applied Research; Intellectual Property Development and Patenting and Information Management. Mekorot is in its final stages of establishing an innovation lab that will widen Mekorot support and investment in start-up companies.
